Telling the Truth

The other day after preschool Anna came home and told me, "Mom, Brenton said it's okay to be weird."

"Are you weird?" I asked her.

"No," she replied, "I'm pretty."

"Is Quinn weird?" I asked.

"No, Quinn's funny," she said.

Again I asked, "Is Izzy weird?"

Her reply, "No, Izzy's cute."

"Am I weird Anna?"

"No," she said, "you're old."

I love Anna. She reminds me of me! A couple years ago I was at Burger King with Kaity. I was ordering our food and when I ordered an onion ring for myself(that's all I had) Kaity announced "You shouldn't eat that mom you're already waaaay to fat!" Of course it was lunch time so the place was jammed with people. I decided I didn't like her much at that moment!

Oh that about made me fall out of my chair! Love it! You will have to tease her about that when she reaches your age.

she is the reason I'm old people! Nothing ages you like having a child who is just like you-who tells it just like it is!-Wendy
