What do you do for you?

In February I started a Jazzercise class so I could start working my baby gut off. Also, and maybe more pressing, I needed to get out of the house and do something just for me, I needed some time off from being "Mom" and more time being Wendy, that girl I was before I had kids. Aside from Jazzercise, I don't have too many things that I do just for me. Occasionally I have a hot soak, mostly when I'm sick though, and I usually have a novel I read in the evenings before bed. I suppose I bake alot, which is for me because I need chocolate, which also results in my needing the exercise class! I'd like to say that I scrapbook regularly, but I rarely have the energy to get my supplies out. Okay, okay, Brett might read this, so yes, I do sometimes watch Oprah too. So I have: Jazzercise, baked treats, baths, and Oprah. And a craft room that I have hopes of making use of one of these days. Maybe today...

So I'm curious, what do you do to keep yourself going? What do you do when you have a little time to yourself?

hi Wendy! You are going to think that I am crazy- oh wait you already do- but today I went to Target to look at cheap chunky jewelry ended up buying myself a diet coke and a hotdog, sat in the little food area and made friends with some lady that just moved to Florida 3 weeks ago. We sat and talked for a couple of hours then I went to pick up Kaity at school. It was one of the best afternoons that I have had in a long while. I need to do that more often-step out of my box. It was nice talking to someone that I don't even really have anything in common with. Yeah I'm wierd, I know. Once Brayden is in school full time in the fall, I am going to take my bike out on some trails and ride as fast as I want without waiting for the one with training wheels to pedal faster!:)

So you ask what we do to keep going...as for me, I don't do much for myself either! I got a gym membership, so I've started doing that for myself which has been fun. (never thought I'd say going to the gym was fun!) Other than that, THIS is my fun. I go online and look at peoples blogs, and catch up with friends that way. I'm working on creating more time for myself!

I lift weights, run five miles, and am training for a triathlon.

Oh wait...no, I'm not. :)

Actually, blogging is what I do just for me. My hubby doesn't always read what I write and that's fine. I write it for me. Also? The entire month of November, I try to write a book. That's all about me.
