Music

I'm looking for some upbeat songs to add to my playlist, songs that instantly put you in a good mood. Songs that put a skip in your step even if it's been gloomy and cold for days and your kids have kept you up half the night and you don't know where to begin on the mess your house has become and you have no idea what to cook for dinner and you don't know when or if you'll get around to showering and you want to commit homocide at least twice and it's only 8 am and you keep finding goldfish crackers ground into your carpet and never have time to yourself because your tiny human shadows follow you, even into the bathroom... you the get point right? I need a maid. I need a nanny. I need a full night of sleep. I'll stick to the things I can afford though: a Big Gulp and some background music to keep me going through the winter.

So, what are your top 3 songs to get you in a good mood?

I am always finding myself laughing at your posts. This one is definitely no different! Probably because it sounds a lot like me. It is good to know I am not alone.

I change my top 3 a lot. Lately it has been:
Taylor Swift Love Story
Cold Play Viva La Vida
Down Jay Sean
Black Eyed Peas I Gotta feeling
Okay so that is 4 sorry!
I was also going to say Jason Mraz but you already have that on here!

I love your posts Wendy! But, they also make me miss you like crazy! I am going to steal the song ideas off your comments because I am tired of all my music. At the gym tonight, I kept hitting next on my ipod cause I was sick of all of it! good post!

Wendy: I feel this way often and I DON'T EVEN HAVE KIDS. So, I can only imagine. I so admire what you're doing. Here are my recommendations:

Mates of State: Rearrange Us
Spoon: The Underdog
Mika: Grace Kelly

Seriously, if you are still feeling blue after this trifecta, I will personally fly to Utah and give you a back rub.

If you find some really good ones, I could use a few good ideas. My favorites right now are
Joe Nichols; Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off
b-52's; Love Shack
Taylor Swift; Picture to Burn

I must agree that I love reading your blog too. Very entertaining! I can relate to you so well.

Here our some fun, upbeat songs on my list that I love!
Jason Castro: Let's fall in love again
Colbie Callait: Fallin' for you
Taylor Swift: Love Story
Jason Mraz & Colbie Callait: Lucky
Fiest: 1234
Ingrid Michaelson: Way I am

Some of these you may already have, I don't know, but they sure help me throughout the day now and again! Enjoy :).

Don't Feel Like Dancing, by the BeeGees. Baby's Got Sauce, by G Love & the Special Sauce. Forever, by Chris Brown (<--he's kind of a bad human being, but I like this song). :)

Ooh, and Sweet Pea by Amos Lee--that's what I danced to with Dad at my wedding. Love it.

I'd do with "Manahmanah" by the Muppets. Can't help but sing along - but then the song gets stuck in your head for the next three weeks.
I also really like "You're Gonna Go Far Kid" by the Offspring but listen to the CLEAN version as the original one is very naughty.
